G-RAID SHUTTLE SSD fans won't turn off

The fans on the G-RAID SHUTTLE SSD won’t turn off after shutting down the computer.
iMac - MacOS Big Sur 11.63.
The fans do turn off if I eject the hard drive and then unplug the thunderbolt cable from the computer. The power button does not seem to have any function at all. We have four of these units and they all do the same thing.

Hi @DJenkins,

Please contact the WD Technical Support team for best assistance and troubleshooting:

I’m having the same issue. I just received a SanDisk Professional G-RAID Shuttle as a replacement for a failing G-TECH G-RAID Shuttle TB3. My old unit’s fan didn’t run constantly. But this new unit runs non-stop now. I called tech support and they said that was normal. This is clearly not normal as a 1 year old older model unit isn’t doing this.

I would appreciate someone from corporate contacting me to resolve this issue. Because tech support doesn’t seem to be capable.

I’m in the same situation; it’s a real nightmare, and I truly regret my purchase. The fan doesn’t stop after shutting down my Mac, which requires manual actions to stop it, like unplugging the power as suggested by support. It’s a joke. Have you found a solution after all this time?
