I got a Fuze+ for my birthday, and I messed around with it a little, listening to the songs that came preloaded on it, and going through the menus and settings. At the time, the lock function was working fine. Anyway, earlier today I updated the firmware, deleted most of the preloaded songs and put some of my own songs on it. Unfortunately, I can no longer lock the player, which is weird. I mean, if I tap the play/pause button, it plays/pauses like it’s supposed to. But if I hold the button down, it does nothing. It doesn’t lock and it doesn’t play/pause. It does nothing. I tried holding down the on/off button for 15 seconds, hoping that resetting the player might fix the problem, but it didn’t. So now I’m at a loss. Any suggestions?
Sorry, my bad! I missed this when I first scanned the forum: http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/Fuze/New-firmware-change-in-locked-unlocked/td-p/228834
On a related note, though, this could have been easier to find out. I downloaded a manual when I did the firmware update, and it told me to do things the old way. Was there something I missed that told me about the change?
The manual is not updated. I think sandisk should make a note of changes on manual also.
Even it is my concern that if I am missing something after firmware update.
