I just bought a SanDisk sd card to put in my iScan portable scanner, when i tried to use it, the sd icon advised me it was full. I formatted the card even if it was brand new, so theorically empty.
Once done the format I put the card in the scanner again and still when I try to scan something the card icon says “full”. Is it a scanner issue or is there something you can advise me to do to solve this problem ? Thank you ![]()

did you ever figure this out? having the same issue.
To resolve the issue, try reformatting the SD card on your computer using FAT32 or exFAT. Make sure the scanner is compatible with the card type (SDHC or SDXC). If the problem persists after these steps, the issue may be with the scanner itself.
Such issues could be caused due to virus intrusion, bad sectors, corrupt file systems, improper handling, manufacturing defects, or transfer interruptions. The easiest solution is to format the SD card. But there could be other methods as well to fix the issue.
I believe CHKDSK could be helpful and it could fix the issue. However, check this article to fix the SD card showing full issue.
I think the reason is that your SD card was not properly formatted, or the SD card isn’t supported by the portable scanner. Follow the 2 steps below and see if they can fix your issue:
1). Fix the file system errors
File system corruption is likely to cause error messages such as “SD card full” or “Memory card is full” when the SD card is empty.
To check the drive for file system errors and fix them, you can utilize the “Error checking” tool on your Windows PC.
Open File Explorer > select your SD card > right-click on it > choose Properties > Click the Tools tab, and click the Check button.
2). Clean the SD card
Wipe the SD card using the Diskpart Command Prompt, then reformat it, you should restore it to full capacity.
