Frequent Disconnection

I have been experiencing frequent disconnection when I use WD MyBook 3.0 or MyPassport 3.0 with one of my USB3.0 port. I have updated them with the latest firmware, v1.022.

I am using Toshiba Satellite M840 laptop, surprisingly the only USB 3.0 port on the right side of the laptop is functioning perfectly, but the USB3.0 port on the left is not. I had sent the laptop to Toshiba service center to fix it, but they found that the port on the left is okay. The technician tested it with a Kingston USB 3.0 drive.

Did anyone come across this issue? Please help.

Hi leo.laikz, since the problem is only happening on one of the two USB ports and you have verified that two hard drives work correctly on the other USB port, it would appear that the problem is happening with the laptop. If possible try connecting the hard drives on another PC to verify if the problem happens again.
