Extreme Pro Portable SSD Updated Version Speed

I have an old version Extreme Pro Portable SSD and an updated version. The updated version is supposed to be 2000 MB/s read and write.

It gets between 900 and 1000, the exact same speed that the old version gets. Is it possible that they put the wrong model in the box?
