External drive with image software

First post, hope I can get some advice. I just found out I can create a complete image of my laptop, programs, files, all of it onto an external drive. I’d like to use a WD drive as I’ve always had good luck with them. I need the drive and the software program to create the “image” of my laptop. Please advise.

Hello,

WD does not have a software that does Image backup, you may use a 3rd party software for this purpose.

Acronis True Image has a try and buy option. Paragon,EaseUS and Macrium all have free stripped down versions. I use Acronis TI.
