I put some videoclips (multiple standard formats) on the My Passport Essential 500GB but no matter what the DVD player won’t see anything on the HDD.
How can I fix this?
If the DVD player will only accept FAT32, then you’d probably have to reformat the drive, as it shipped NTFS.
But more likely the problem is that your DVD player isn’t running Windows or Mac OSx and thus isn’t compatible with the drive and the unlocker partition. In that case, the fix would be to return the Passport and buy an Elements or one of the PVR drives that actually are compatible.
