Driver for image mate smart media card reader sddr-55 for windows 8?

 Hi

    I have an older digital camera that I use sometimes and it uses a smart media card.   

I just got a Sony vaio windows 8 laptop and was trying to get the card reader to work. 

The newest driver I could find was windows XP.

Is there a windows 8 driver for sddr-55?

Is there another san disk card reader that accepts smart media cards and works with windows 8?

smart media is really old and no longer manufacturerd. the reader would not be win 8 compatible and there are no current readers for smart media cards.
