Thought I would post this to see if anyone has an idea on how to help. I am currently unable to access my portable hard drive. My main computer is a MacBook Pro, when I connect the drive to the computer, the light on the drive comes on (solid) however nothing is scene on the mac. Within disk Utility the drive does not show up. When I run boot camp on the mac the hard drive will show up in the windows drive partition manager program however it says it’s not initialized. When I use the WD drive utilities program on Windows the drive will show up however it says 0.00 GB and the checks will not work. When the drive is plugged into the computer it sounds like its running however every 5 minutes or so there is a squeak. Any help with suggestions to try to retrieve my data would be appreciated.
