i have wd 500gb portable hdd , bought around 1&half years back…
my hdd is not detecting in any pc. while plugging the led glows, hdd starts vibrating as usual (with no clicking sound ie. without any insufficient power problem) but is not detected by the pc.
do i stilll have the the warranty
my serial no is not properly visible @ the back…
can any one plz help me…

Check if the hard drive is recognized on the disk management window, if it is recognized, then you can use DLG to run a test and see the serial number. Check the links below.
Hello Every one,
I am facing same problem and I have registered for replacement but there is no response to pick my “My Password”. From last two moths only I have received call that tomorrow your product will be collected so tell me your convenient time but no person came to collect the hard drive,
Is there any other solution to replace this Hard Drive or how sholud I recover it, I need it urgently.
