Deleting Stored Data

I have a WD Passport Portable HD Model # WDXMS2500TN 250GB.  It is almost full capacity, some of which I no longer need.  How do I delete items to free for more storage space?

Just right click on file and delete. If you use backup software it’s best to delete it from there.

Thanks once again for your invaluable assistance.  As is surely obvious, I am a novice at this.  BTY, regarding my post earlier in the week: “W-XP to W-7 Transfer” – you may be interrested to know that the Passport Portable External HD [250GB, Model #:WDXMS2500TN] which I purchased in 2008, to my pleasant surprise, is compatible with Windows 7.

Glad it worked out OK. With older hardware you never if it will work on the newest systems.
