HI, Why I cannot delete some photos from the hard disk ?

You might not be able to delete a file because it is currently being access by another user or task within the My Passport Wireless (MPW). While in NAS mode, connected wirelessly, the MPW, other users also connected could be accessing/displaying the fille or internal tasks of indexing, scanning and creating thumbnails for some of the mobile apps to use and for the streaming server to use. While connected in DAS, to a computer, using the USB cable, another application on your system could be accessing or indexing the file and keep it from being deleted.
I would recommend trying again sometime later. In NAS mode, the scan and building of thumbnails can take sometimes just minutes but if you have a large number of movies, music, and photos, it could take hours. In the WebUI, under the Media tab/window, it will tell you if it is active.
If you are trying to delete any of the files, in the hidden directories, like .wdmc and .wdcache, these files are used for internal processes and should not be deleted. These files help the internal media stream server present the thumbnails and previews for the computers and everything else.
