Connecting WD Elite After System Recovery on my PC

I had to preform a full HP System Recovery on my Desktop due to a Windows problem now resolved. This recovery erases all files not originally with the computer “out of the box”. Now I want to connect my WD My Book Elite and retrieve my backed up files. How do I do this safely?  Is there any danger in just attaching the power cord back to the WD and connect the WD by USB to the PC?

There should not be any problems by attaching the drive as you did with the other computer.

Connect the drive to the power and to the PC and follow the steps on restoring your backed up files.
