Hi Folks
I have a 2011 iMac with 1X thunderbolt port to the rear.
I want to connect my SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD and use it as a startup disk.
My issue seems to be trying to connect the thunderbolt to the USB type C situated on the SSD.
Can anyone recommend how to do this?
I tried:
thunderbolt cable → apple thunderbolt 2/3 adapted → SSD
But the SSD doesn’t connect. I presume it doesn’t get enough power from the thunderbolt 2 port on the iMac…
How can I solve this? Use a multi-port dock which has its own power supply source?
