Computer won't start when MyBook is plugged in

My Acer Aspire desktop won’t start up when my WD MyBook 4 TB is plugged into the USB3.0 port.  When I unplug the backup drive, the computer starts.

Try to see if installing the  SES drives on you operating system helps:

I successfully loaded the SES download, but the computer won’t boot up when the WD drive is plugged into the USB port.
