Computer won't recognize two Passports

I have one Passport that is almost full. I bought a new Passport Ultra hoping to back up some of the data on the original Passport, but my computer will only recognize one at a time. I need to be able to copy/move files from one Passport to the other, and to access both drives constantly (I am a photographer and they hold my photos). 

They are connected to a Lenovo ThinkStation desktop with two USB ports. When they are both plugged in, the computer only recognizes the one that was plugged in first. When I reboot with both drives plugged in, it only recognizes the new Ultra. How can I get my computer to “see” both drives at the same time?

It sounds like a Windows [roblem called Disk Signature error. Try this  http://community.wdc.com/t5/My-Passport-for-PC/Copy-files-from-one-drive-to-another/m-p/277504/highlight/false#M7587  see post 11.
