Clip Sport Plus shows blank blue screen - Reset options?

Hi.

I have a Clip Sport Plus 16 GB.

I connected it to a PC, updated the content as normal, clicked on the Windows icon to get the “It is safe to remove device” message, then unplugged the USB cable.

I didn’t look to see if the device was updating content, but when I later tried to use it, all it showed was a blank blue screen (no text visisible). That blank blue screen is all that I have seen since then.

As soon as the device is turned on it boots immediately and goes straight to the blank blue screen. There is no “SanDisk” splash screen and there is no longer a pause for several seconds whilst the device boots up.

The device is unresponsive to any buttons.

When connected to a PC the player is accessible as normal from within Windows. All files are visible and files can be added or removed as normal.

There is more than 1 GB of free space.

I can’t access any menus to do a reset to default. I have tried holding down the power button for more than 20 seconds for a standard reset but this has no effect.

Can anyone suggest anything to revive the player?
