I have a new Itb passport Ultra and I hac
ve tried to backup my PC on to no avail.my first error messages states not enough space on the passport even though it has never been used.

what software are you using to backup the computer? Are you using Windows or Mac? Have you reformatted the drive?
I use win 7 professional and have reformatted the drive
