Can't Search my WD Passport Studio 1TB on my mac using Spotlight...Help!

Hi,

I’m on a MBPro running 10.8.2 and can’t run a Search function using Spotlight. I even tried to search a file I know is on there and nothing shows up.

When I googled this problem, many said to delete a hidden spotlight file on the drive, but when I tried to delete it an “unknown error” sign pops up. Help! I have thousands of photos on their that need to be searched!!!

You should try the apple forums

besides using spotlight there are other ways to look for files on the drive
