I have a MY Passport SE 750GB HD. I installed the WD Smartware that was on it but decided to uninstall from my computer because I didn’t want to use it. Now when I plug in my HD to my computer, I still get the WD Unlocker in MY Computer. When I try to unlock it, the HD just blinks and blinks. When I open My Computer, it shows my WD drive as “Local Disk ( I: )”. When I try to open it it says the drive is corrupted or unreadable. Is there anyway I can reinstall WD Smartware to access my information on the HD or anyway I can access the HD without deleting my files on it or formatting the HD? Thanks for any information
It looks like your information is corrupted, you can try connecting the hard drive into a different computer to verify if the same thing occur. Also you may want to use a free data recovery software to extract your files:
