I recently bought the My Book Essentials, and backed up all my infomation on it. The Book fell from standing position to the right side of itself, after which it began saying problem with saving files, i can see all the stuff in the book but i can’t save anything or retrieve. i tried restarting, checking the cord for breakage, checking the jack to see if anything was dislodge, but nothing works.can anyone make any other suggestions or comments. please help
It’s probably physically damaged it doesn’t take much of a bump. I doubt there are any do it yourself fixes that will work. If you are considering professional recovery don’t try anything else. I always lay my drives down so they can’t get tipped over.
