I have been unable to reformat a 4tb my passport on my macbook pro. got it off of amazon. just unwrapped it today. any help would be awesome
You should provide more information on what happens when you try to format it on your Mac.
I’m having this problem too. details for me. I tried erasing first and it had issue unmounting. so I ejected and started over. erase seemed to start ok but then failed because not enough space on device. now when I look at the device all 4tb are used and the disc wont mount at all.
