Brand new WD Passport error when using WD Discovery

Hi guys,

Just purchased this WD Passport 1T today. Connected to my laptop and installed WD Discovery on my laptop. However after installation, when I launch WD Discovery, this strange error appears:“WDDriveAgent: Encountered an improper argument.”. After the error, my Passport 1T disappeared from connected devices in the WD Discovery app, but I’m still able to transfer files with the file explorer.

Tried to google, reboot, reconnect, reinstall, and did the same on another pc, but neither worked.

I bought this WD rather than Seag*te as I needed the software features. However disappointingly I cannot use them now. Please help, perhaps may as well suggest if I should make use of the 14-day return and get a new one policy from the retailer.
