Bloated battery removed, how turn on wireless?

My Passport wireless get the battery inflate, I had to removed it and now my external drive only works on USB. It even can start the wireless which would be useful plugged in a power wall outlet.

How can I make the wireless works without battery on power wall outlet?
Or even better, where can I by a replacement battery?

Wifi is deactivated when the drive is connected via USB or Power Wall outlet

I don’t know of anywhere you can buy a replacement battery

All you can do it to contact WD Support directly (this is only a User Forum)

P.S. I have a My Passport Wireless, thankfully the battery is still OK … but it is very worrying this can happen and with nowhere to easily buy a replacement battery :frowning:

To the best of my knowledge, even the My Passport Pro is connected to the wall socket or an USB, its WiFi is still work.

The battery of my My Passport Pro is now also flatted, have watch a video in YouTube, I have just disassembled my My Passport Pro and am looking for a replacement battery pack. I just sent an enquiry to WD to see if they will sell replacement battery pack and am waiting for reply.
