I have an old “Book” external drive and I want to include my emails in my regular backups. Will someone please tell me how this is done or maybe what file they are in? I use Yahoo mail. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Russell
Hi,
My emails are saved in the Windows 10 C:Program Data Folder as part of the Mozilla Thunderbird software. So I just backup Program Data Folder. You might try searching for an email to see where your’s are.

Hello Clifford, I’m running Windows 7 and Explorer but I found a file named ProgramData. Inside there are numerous folders but none with a name that would suggest it contains emails. I did a search but came up with nothing. Thanks for your suggestion though.

Well, after an hour or so searching the internet and files on my computer I finally found where my emails are stored and I am forwarding this info incase some other computer challenged person like myself can find it helpful.
Because I use ATT/Yahoo for my mail I didn’t know it would have anything to do with Outlook, but it must.
The file is Outlook.pst and is located in C:/Users/(your name)/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Outlook. I’m sure to most of you it’s one of those “Duh” things.
Thanks,
Russell
