Since my last post, maybe a year or so ago… I have installed maybe 15 SSD’s… Most of them were as Raid 0 pairs…for edit systems…
I have maybe 8 Sandsk Ultra II’s here at the house, with 4 more from a few other MFG’s as well…
One of the Ultra II’s is at 99%, All other’s are at 100%
So if I’m so happy with Sandisk Ultra II’s, why have I used other MFG’s for those 15 and my other 4 ?
Simple:
The 1TB units have 2 different hardware designations…and different firmware… And you can’t determine from looking at the box which is which!!!
I would want to purchase IDENTICAL Drives for my Raid Array’s…
AS MUCH AS I like my SanDisk Ultra II’s… I’m Not purchasing them… Because I cannot be assured 4 will be identical units!!!
I posted about this before… and was told I had no say in the matter…
