The Acronis True Image WD INSTALL/UPGRADE software does not detect a WD drive connected by USB and that is a defect. The Acronis True Image install software should be enhanced to detect a WD drive connected via USB the same way the Acronis True Image WD application/software is able to do so.
WD customers need to be able to install/upgrade Acronis software even if they have a WD drive connected via USB. Many people purchase WD drives for other purposes besides having it connected directly via SATA and the Acronis Install software should work via USB connections same as other Acronis software.
