All of the sudden, my PC can’t open my Passport. It doesn’t recognize it under “My Computer,” but it does show up under Device Manager and under Devices. Once in a while, it will show up under the Computer as “N” drive, but no info on size is available. Also, I can hear a slight click in the hard drive itself, almost as if something was opening and closing. Is this thing ready for the land fill? Please let me know if this has a home remedy for fixing. Thanks.
Try a different USB cable. Make sure the cable you are using is not longet than the original. Make sure you are not using a hub to connect. If they don’t help it may be a pending drive failure.
