Just seen this on play.com - don’t know about everyone else but this is the first I’ve heard of it. Very nice price too, cheaper than the current 8GB.
Be careful. I have not seen that size. E-mail or Call SanDisk and ask about a 12 gig. Maybe an 8 gig with a 4 gig card?
Play are a well know store, and when an sd card is included this is stated in the title. It’s also a pre order, which means it’s more likely to be a new model.
I suppose I should have read the little tag line. Its not out til November. That shoud be a fun one for Next Christmas Season.
March, not November (British site)
This doesn’t make sense…why just go from 8 to 12? Every other size has been double the next size down…with the Clip and View as well as the Fuze…so it seems like the next model would be a 16GB. weird!
Its probably based on the way the memory is manufactured. 12 gig is easier than 16 gig

Where are the 12GB microsdhc cards then? If they exist, I have never seen one.
I found a real easy way to turn my unit into a 16GB model, and I don’t have to wait. I just took a big 'ole rubber band and connected my 2 fuzes together!!!
Now I have a 16GB unit, with unlimited storage potential…:smileyvery-happy:
16 Gig models would have been more predictable. Guess we shall find out soon enough. I’m sure SansaFix knows but might not be able to tell. Any comments SansaFix? ^_^ ???

My sig in another forum says that I have a 12GB Fuze, and I’ve gotten a few PM’s like “where did you find a 12GB? I want one!!” never thinking that you could go the 4+8 route like I did, or the 8+4 to get to 12…lol
I have a 16GB Fuze (8+8) but seriously anything more than 16GB is not very practical until the 4000 song limit has been raised. Amazon currently has 16GB cards on sale for approx 59 bucks, but I am holding off until the firmware lifts the 4000 song limit. Many of my tracks are 128Kps sampled, and my current song count including my Rhapsody Channels is 3653, so I’m not spending an extra 50 bucks for 350 more songs.
If they can raise the limit to 8000 or higher, an order to Amazon is imminent.

That is in the works…in the next few months they’re raising it to 8,000. Just have some coffee brewed to occupy your time during the database refresh
Yeah, but if they do raise to 8000 theres a good chance I can copy my entire library to the Fuze once and forget about it. Either that, or get 99% of the stuff I would want to listen to on it.
Currently I have 8 GB of “Must have” stored on my external card.
I allocate approx 2GB for Rhapsody channels
And then use Winamp to sync the remaining 6GB of internal against the remaining 22GB sotred on my computer.
I then refresh this about once a month. It would be nice to get almost everything with a 16GB card. I might even be tempted to weed out my music collection to fit into 22GB space. There’s a lot of stuff I have that I know that is kinda of just “taking space”. But that’s the beauty of your hard drive spece, it’s cheap.
