1.5~2.0 TB 2.5" External HDD ! Is WD Giving Up on HDD Tech?

Seriously, its been almost a year (last September) since Seagate introduce 2.5" 1.5 TB External HDD to the market , and WD is still on 1 TB at 2.5" form factor. What’s the matter WD? Why are you guys stop innovating? Since last year you guys have only been able to push out CASE MOD (! CASE MOD? SERIOUS?) after case mods for your product. There is absolutely no progress on hard disk capcity front. Its about time WD catch up with Seagate and start pushing out 1.5 ~ 2.0 TB 2.5" HDD.

Also, reliability needs work on too WD. It seems the HDD failure rate is spiking for the past 5 years, HDD after HDD are failing at incredible rate (Check popular shop site such as Amazon, New Eggs, etc, around 20% of WD’s HDD failed within 12 months)

It seems to be that WD already jumped to the 2.5" 2TB drives, look what I found:
