A Way To Increase Volume

ok mate ? how do i do a reset lol…im still trying to work out how i change from 1 alburn to the next…

You didn’t say what model of Clip you have. I’m assuming it’s the Clip+, although there is also the Clip (original) and Cip Zip models.

On the Clip+, go to Settings > System Settings > Reset Factory Settings > Yes. Note all options are not visible in the little screen on the player. You will have to scroll (up or down) to find and select all options.

Note also this is different from a regular (and frequently talked about) reset. This is where you hold down the power button for 20-30 seconds, release, then restart. This is a main system reset, and can/should be used if the player ever freezes up or fails to respond to button presses, or otherwise acts wonky.

Resetting the “Factory Settings” changes your personal settings and the USB mode back to the way it was when it came from the factory. This is why (and how) you can change the Region settings. After doing this, you will also have to reapply your personal settings, like Backlight, power save mode, sleep timer, FM presets and the like.

i have updated to what i think is the latest FW and now its ok :)…

volume is blasting out lol

is the FW …vo1.02.09p the latest ? or should i have in it the vo1.01.35

Good for you! If you have the Clip+ model, the latest firmware is 01.02.16. You can find it here:

http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/Sansa-Clip-Sansa-Clip/Sansa-Clip-Firmware-Update-01-02-16/m-p/150227/highlight/true#M31277

V01.02.09 is also for the Clip+, but is an older fw version. I would update to the .16 release, manually applying it following the directions in the linked-to post.
.

V01.01.35 is for the original (hardware version 1) Clip, a different model and will not work if you have a Clip+ or Zip.
