I just purchased a WD Elements portable hard drive. When trying to format it for Mac OS I secrewed up something and now my computer does not recognize the drive at all. How can I get it back and how do I reformat it for Mac OS?
Hi rod_lightning, welcome to the Community. Can you share more information on what went wrong? Have you tried to format it from the Disk Utility app?

Thanks for the response. I went back and tried the disk utility again. For some reason, today it worked [why not last night?] and the drive is formatted.
