What is the default software that I should have on my HDD?

Hi

Recently I wanted to restore my wd my passport essential hdd.

I don’t want to delete the files on it; rather I just want to restore the software that comes with it as in the past I have downloaded other software and now I am unsure which files are wd software.

Could someone please tell me which files/folders are meant to be on the harddrive as part of wd (& which files/folders come on the harddrive out of the box) ???

The files that are included in the drive are related to WD Smartware and it does not get erased if you reformat the drive, regardless, you can view the download library with all the downloads available for this drive if you click here.

R-P-H, the Software provided with your Western Digital My Passport Essential depends on the revision, class and family. Are you able to kindly share the exact model number of your External Hard Disk Drive with the WD Community?
