Is it possible to wipe a 3 TB WD My Book, and then install it in Windows 10 and just use the windows software to install, format, and use for backups?
Yes.
I have tried this but upon install only 2.3 GB of the 3 TB drive is
recognized. I can only partition the 2.3GB. The rest never shows up in
unallocated so I can partition it.
