Hi, i seem to be having a problem with WD Smartware not picking up files, i have set it to continuous then added a test file, it said it had backed up but hadn’t changed anything. Changed it to daily backup and told it to backup now, said it had completed backup but checking the folders nothing had changed since the last time it worked so there are new files and renamed files plus added a documents folder which just aren’t being picked up. Not freezing or anything but not backing up. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Loooking for WD Admins on this problem - upgraded May 31 - no continous backup or scheduled backup is updating the files or adding new files. I see this has been ongoing for quite some time. Recommendations from WD are desparately needed.

What I think possibly happened is that in updating to 2.0.1 - this is a force to upgraded to Pro and purchase a license?? Any one concur?
That being said, does this mean the only solution is to reformat and go back to 1.60??
With 500gig in backup data - that is going to some challenge for me. We all know software updates take time and money, so I guess this is a push by WD to recover costs of upgrading to new technologies in computing.
I hope I am wrong and WD Admins will give me answer to why 2.0.1
