I have just purchased WD Elements 1TB, 30 day trial back sw included. I have downloaded the sw & have tried to start it - but all comes back to the sw requiring an activation code. Happy to purchase the sw - just cannot find where/how.

I can see from the existing correspondence that there are many WD Elements users. I would appreciate it very much if someone could send the URL for purchasing WD Smartware & how to get the activation code.

Many thanks - appreciate your response. I have been up-down-every which
way - but I do not get those screens with the option to buy. More than
happy to buy - but I just don’t get that screen. This is what I get:

Just takes me staright to enter te activation code.
What to do next??

Where to? Well - I decided to phone the WD AP Tech Support on 1 800 429
861 & actually spoke to a tech support person. And the answer is: this
sw has been discontinued!! That is why I canot have either the 30 days
free trial & cannot buy it!!
So - off to buy another device. I wonder / doubt it if Office works will
take back the WD Elements. Alternate solution - use Windows backup sw
… Hmmmm
