I have a problem regarding my external hard disc whereby it doesn’t appear at my desktop area as usually.
im using wd(my passport) for my external hard disc.
I try to format it but i cant do it. it keep on saying that it cannot do until the last block. and it keep on saying that it couldnt be mount.(unmounted)
i also try to repair the hard disc and even try to click the repair but it doesnt work and ask me to backup and reformat. but how to reformat?
now i clueless
one thing that i didnt understand was
1st partion : MS-DOS(FAT) format
2nd partion : MAC os extended
i really stress as all my files is gone and now i cant even used the hard disc anymore. please do help me to solve this problem.
my passport still have waranty until 2016. do i need to take my external hard disc to the service center or what?

yes my device is still under warraty. but if i can find the receipt of my purchase and didnt remember when i purchase it. is it possible for me to get a warranty for that as i already check at the warranty check through the s/n my device is still under warranty.
can you advise me on this.

and please do explain on the how the process of warranty will be made for me? is it difference from one country from another. because im from malaysia.
