WD My Passport 1 Tb HDD not recognised by computer

Hey,

My 1 Tb My Passport WD external drive does not show up in my computer. I have tried different computers but the result is the same. It does show up in device manager and computer manager - Storage devices (where in it displays that the drive is not initiated). Also I am able to safely eject the HDD, ie the Safely remove option for the HDD shows up. Still I cannot see the HDD in My Computer. Also, the HDD blinks and makes small beeping sounds. Please suggest what should I do. Thank you.

Make sure that you test the drive on the back usb ports of a desktop computer and try with a different USB cable, if stills the same after those steps, you may try to recover your files with a data recovery software.

If you don’t have any files on the drive, through the disk management, you will be able to initialize the drive and create a new partition on the drive.
