I am considering purchasing the WD My Book Duo product, and I am wondering if I am absolutely required to install the software? Essentially, I just want to have a relatively compact package for 2 JBOD HDDs.
I will use Disk Utility to format them. I basically just want to plug this device in and have 2 external hard drives show up without the need for software. Is this possible? Thanks
