Hi guys

I have had this a while, but haven’t used in a few months, now when I hooked it to PC yesterday, the green circle keeps flashing.  It is not being recognised on the PC, and I have tried all what I can.

I have a lot of old data on here which I cannot lose (old family pictures etc.) so it is important to somehow recover these or get the drive working again…

Any help, advice or assistant would be grateful!

What OS are you using? Does the drive show in Disk Management and what does it say down on the bars? Have you tried it in different ports? Don’t use a hub to connect. If it’s a powered drive plug straight into wall instead of power strip.

I’m running Windows XP.

The PC doesn’t  recognise the hard drive at all, the green flashing circle isn’t promising.

I have tried two different lead, across all the USB ports, and mains power from the wall and the extension lead, and nothing is working.

I am fearing the worst here.

What do you suggest I do next?
