WD Elements with EL CAPITAN: impossible to backup

Hello!

I have installed three days ago OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 on my Macbook Pro (17-inch Mid 2010), and since then my external USB Hard drive WD Elements doesn’t work anymore. It appears both in Finder and in Disk Utility, but when I launch a new backup, it switches to “preparing backup” and nothing else happens. I tried reformatting the Hard drive with the “OS X Extended (Journaled)” format, but the problem remains: Time Machine stay on “preparing backup” forever!

Any ideas how to solve the issue?
