Hello. I’m thinking about purchasing a WD Elements 16TB hard drive.

There are several vendors, but I’m thinking about purchasing this on Amazon Canada site.

What is the warranty period for this drive? On the Amazon site it says 2 years but there is an image that shows 3 years.

Also, if I register the product, does that extend my warranty? If not, what other benefits does registration with Western Digital have?

Thanks for any responses. I would especially like an official response from Western Digital. I tried searching for information about this but was unable to find anything.
