Hello, I dropped my WD Elements 500GB drive from a few feet. Drive seems fine. Now when I plug it in, it takes a while to get recognized. I try to copy contents from the drive, takes forever. Some files open but folders freeze up. Light on back is flashing and there is small working noise from time to time. I’ve tried on multiple computers, all the same. I’ve tried to run disk management in Windows and after a while, it freezes up. Not sure what to do.

As a recommendation, test the unit using the WD DLG tool to see if there’s any specific errors with the drive.
