WD Elements 6TB on and off switch?

Hello, I have a new WD Elements 6TB (WDBWLG0060HBK-EESN).
Just like my older model Elements with 2TB, there is an on and off switch on the back.
With the 2TB model, I only have to tap it briefly (less than 1 second) and the plate switches off.
With the 6TB model, I have to hold down the switch for almost 8 seconds for the disk to turn off.
Is this normal or a defect?

I have the same drive and I have to hold the power button for about 5 seconds before it spins down and shuts off. I’m pretty sure that’s just how it works.
