WD Elements 2 TB not working

I purchased WD Elements 2TB - I followed the steps from your web site - but the whole procedure failed
and the device doesn’t even show up on the desktop - instead there is a text telling me that the computer cannot
read the device

what can I do? I have iMac 1 TB (late 2012)

It is possible the partition is corrupted. You may format the drive in order to use it again. However, this will delete all data stored on the drive,If you need to recover the data on it, I recommend using a data recovery software before attempting to format the drive.
