WD Blue 500 GB -- Error 0x80300024 Windows is unable to install to the selected location

I am trying to install Windows 10 onto a WD blue 500 GB internal SSD. I get to the screen where it ask me to choose the drive and it gives me the error when I chose it. The option for formatting is greyed out. I try to partition, doesn’t let me.

I am using this motherboard and the drive doesn’t show up in the BIOS. Gigabyte Micro ATX DDR4 NA Motherboards GA-H170M-DS3H

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever get a fix for this? I’m facing the same issue on an HP envy laptop. The drive shows up in the GUI installation setup, but if I try to format, install, or create a new partition it give me the same error you have. diskpart also does not see the drive.

Linux see’s it fine so I’m fairly certain its a windows thing.
