I feel like a huge ■■■■■ asking, but I can’t find this specific question anywhere in the Knowledge Base. My question is simple. How can I use my MyBook as both a backup (TimeMachine) AND storage (storing photos)? I have an older iMac with 750 GB of storage and I need more space for my photo workflow, but I would also like to use TimeMachine to backup my iMac. I mounted the 3TB MyBook without issue and it’s currently backing up, but the Mac has changed my MyBook icon to a TimeMachine icon. Can/should I just make new folders inside the TimeMachine folder?
Do I have to partition the drive to add a storage component? Sorry for the dumb question. Any help would be appreciated.
