using folders? shuffle option.

I have heard that this does not utilize folders. You can’t just go to the artisit, then the album, then pick the song you want to hear. Is this true?? Or could this just be user error?

Also, can you shuffle not just the entire song list, but just a cerrtain album or a certain artist?

The Sansa Fuze+, with the latest firmware applied, does indeed have the ability to browse songs through folders by going to the Music > Folders section.  And yes, you can also select music from the artist and then the albums. By selecting a song not from the “songs” section but from a specific category such as the “albums” category, will let you only shuffle music from the selected album, and not from anywhere else but the album. You can also do the same with a certain artist by only selecting a song from the “artists” section, and then by selecting the album which contains the song you want to play, and finally the song itself (note that even though you have selected a song through an album, it will still only shuffle songs from the song’s artists since you originally came to that selection from the “artist” category).  Edit: Unfortunately, I have found you cannot only shuffle songs from a certain artist unless all of the artist’s songs are specified in the same album.
