Use both for Mac and PC backups

I have a My book for Mac. Can I use the one My book drive for Mac and PC backups? I don’t want to buy another My book just for a windows laptop backup.

Hi hinababy,

You can make 2 partitions on the drive, one for Mac (HFS+) and other for Windows (NTFS).

For windows, you can use WD SmartWare to backup the computer.

For Mac computer you can use Time machine:

Both the computers will their respective partition and create a backup there.

Note:- WD always recommends having at least 2 back-ups of the same file at 2 different locations.
