Hi,
so I’ve been experiencing issues with my PC where it freezes, but you can still move your mouse and I read that it can be related to drivers issue of my SSD. So I downloaded WD Dashboard, and it shows possibility to upgrade firmware of my disk from 211070WD to newer one. I saw the warning about losing data, but I know it is normal for every firmware update. My question maybe stupid, but if I decide to update firmware through an app of drive that my Windows currently runs of, will it work just normally after? And I won’t have to install Windows again if the update is successful?

I guess you do not have a hard disk to backup with. USB disks are cheapest.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
Ask WD what’s in the new firmware and then determine if updating it will make a difference in your situation.
